Bachelor Projekt N: Enhancement of SAP Corporate Research Toolset with BPEL functionality.
In this Bachelor-Project, SAP's Research Toolset was enhanced with BPEL funtionality. The modelling tool
Maestro, a Business Process Modelling (BPM) tool, was extended to model BPEL processes, export and import BPEL documents. Additionally, some soundness checks and WSDL support was implemented. Next to the BPM tool, the business process engine
Nehemiah from the SAP Research Toolset was extended to execute BPEL processes. Canguru's Nehemiah implements a native BPEL engine, uses cutting-edge technology (Java 5, in-memory database, container-framework) and offers a Web 2.0 frontend for process enactment and monitoring. The project took place at the HPI from April 2005 until April 2006 in cooperation with SAP Research, Karlsruhe, Germany and SAP Research, Brisbane, Australia.
