Bio Sketch
I visited the
Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster for studying
Information Systems (in German:
Diplom Wirtschaftsinformatik). I focused on the areas of applied computer science and business management.
One highlight of my studies was the development of
WASA2 in a group of four students. WASA2 is a scientific prototype of a CORBA-based workflow management system
presented at CeBIT'99 that allows modifying process definitions at run time in a service oriented environment.
My diploma thesis deals with the theoretical background of these modifications.
From 1999 until 2001, I worked as a software developer at the
Schleupen AG, Moers, in the domains workflow management, order management and accounting, storage management and financial accounting. One important project was the cooperation with the
Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität to build a data warehouse with data mining capabilities for the Schleupen software.
Since 2002, I am a research assistant at the Business Process Technology Group of Prof. Dr. Mathias Weske and in 2006 I received my doctoral degree.
